Map of the Adlerweg trail
covering 280 km of well signposted stages across Tyrol
The eagle – king of the air and a symbol of freedom, independence, uniqueness and power - watches the world from the distance high above in the sky.
A similar kind of distance from everyday life and freedom is experienced by hikers in the Tyrolean Mountains - enough reason to name this long-distance hiking path after such a majestic bird.
From St. Johann in the Tyrolean lowlands past the Wilder Kaiser mountain to the Inntal valley a popular destination awaits you in Angerberg: Tyrol’s only ice and dripstone cave on top of Buchacker mountain. The route takes you via the Karwendel mountains on to St. Anton am Arlberg and into the back of the Lechtal valley.
